Glasgow Sling Library (GSL) is a not for profit social enterprise operating in Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
We are run by a team of trained carrying consultants, committed to supporting our baby wearing community, and making sling support accessible for all.
We offer reduced cost and free services to those who need it, while keeping our hire/consult costs as low as possible over all.

Had a great experience with amazing help from Hannah.
We went along with our twins thinking there was only one option for us to carry both but she had prepared many. We had to stay distant so she did incredibly well guiding us through the carriers by word alone. I left with a carrier with added support and loaded with more knowledge and confidence to safely carry both my twins. Absolutely delighted! Didn’t think I was going to be able to do the attachment parenting thing with twins but hannah made it possible. THANK YOU
I think this service is amazing. I never knew it existed till i joined a local walk and saw Gemma posting about slings and carriers then I went and met Gemma and she helped me massively as I was quite nervous. It’s great you can rent slings and carriers. We love the carriers and the support we have from Gemma has been very appreciated.
We had an at home consultation with Gemma and it was so inspiring and helpful. We’ve now hired 2 carriers as a result and are so excited to continue our babywearing journey. Would recommend this to every parent of young children!
Glasgow sling library offer such a fantastic service. I had my baby carrier fitted there and they were very professional and friendly. I learned lots of tips and tricks and I feel much more confident now.
They are offering outdoor (socially distanced) consultations during the pandemic.
Incredibly helpful. I have an unusual sling bought abroad but she was able to tell me all about features on it i didn’t know about so i could get the best out of it. Now i feel confident i can wear it and my baby will be safe and comfortable. I was having a really stressful day but she was super accommodating and it was a little act of kindness i needed. “This is an amazing service and should be a first stop for anyone interested in baby wearing. As a new mom I bought the “best” carrier, only to realise when baby was here it wasn’t quite right. This team worked with me to narrow down all the options based on my needs and I was able to test the carrier out for four weeks to make sure it was right before buying my own. They also did a virtual fitting to make sure I was using it correctly and safely for me and baby. This service saved me time researching and money by ensuring my new purchase would be right for me (baby carriers are not cheap!). The rental price was also very reasonable especially considering the 1-1 support.”
